Complex Electronic Assemblies Manufactured By Minnesota Rubber And Plastics – Provides Design And Materials Engineering
Minneapolis, Minnesota: Minnesota Rubber and Plastics (MR&P) provides electronic device manufacturing of complex assemblies made of molded rubber and plastics. Operating an ISO 13485:2003 certified quality management system, MR&P is experienced at manufacturing and assembling electronic devices in Class 10,000 and Class 100,000 clean rooms.
Providing design assistance and prototype development, MR&P brings over 60 years experience in custom materials engineering and difficult sealing applications. This experience, plus its unique ability to offer both rubber and plastic combination components, results in greater engineering design and production efficiencies. This results in reduced development time, reduced costs and decreased time to market.
MR&P molds and assembles electronic and electrical devices requiring high tolerance components that facilitate device function. Device designs include vacuum sealing that isolates and protects circuitry, bosses that position and hold electrodes, actuating mechanisms containing washers and springs, and bonding that permanently locks the assembly together so required critical internal components are immobile and contaminant free.

MR&P's precision molding capabilities comprise silicone molding and bonding, processing of high-performance rubber and plastics, rubber-to-plastic conversions, and metal-to-plastic conversions. The company molds a variety of materials, including compounds compliant with ISO 10993, USP Class VI, and FDA requirements.
Applications include testing devices, printed circuit enclosures, converters, routers, transmission devices and many types of enclosed assemblies used in complex electrical, medical, aerospace and military ordinance applications.
Since 1945, Minnesota Rubber and Plastics has built a world-wide reputation founded on a unique, science-based approach that has made the company the preferred manufacturing partner for industry leaders in North America, Europe and Asia.
MR&P's global, large-scale manufacturing facilities are based in five countries with capabilities to handle the largest volumes including multi-year partnership contracts.
